Rev. Ileane Fae Ellsworth – Transformation Catalyst – Director of The Spiral Way
The spiral is a line that returns, yet flows on. It starts from a point, expands and differentiates, contracts and disappears into the point ... read more ...
… This is our life cycle pattern. Like the alternate breath of the cosmos the pattern of movement is contraction and expansion. The contraction of spirit takes place around a still axis. This still point is at the center of all existence. It is enlightenment. The spiral pattern within each of us is a desire and movement toward that point. The goal of therapy is to awaken to self-awareness and liberation of the spirit.
Someone asked the Buddha,
“Are you God?”
“No!” he replied.
“Are you an angel then?” “No!”
“A saint?” “No!”
“Then what are you?”
Replied the Buddha,
“I am awake!”

The Mayans believed the rattle had the power to give new life, to realize the miracle of resurrection. It was divine, holy.
Philosophy
The Spiral Way is a path leading back to ‘beginnings’ – a time where virtue bloomed on trees. This was the time we were innocent, pure of heart and true to Self.
This path leads to a sense of belonging; an experience of feeling at One with Existence. No thought of separation, no need for special attention, prove our worth, or to “be right”. A time of joy and ease, gently flowing in life’s current, with God in mind and heart, we naturally adapt to the circumstances presented to us.
“When I see my 20 month old granddaughter I see ‘pure being’ Natural, spontaneous, with full expression of feelings, pure in heart, Present and totally alive. “
These qualities are rediscovered in the ‘beginnings.’
This process is Involutionary, circling ‘In’ to our true Self. Conscious, awake and aware, we take responsibility for every thought, word and deed – as a result we are blessed with freedom.
A 20 month old baby still sleeps, yes, she has heavenly qualities but without consciousness she sleeps through life.
This work builds on trust in oneself, in life’s process and in God.
When we experience endings and losses we find the tools within to maintain our balance. And when the path brings us into the ‘void state’ prior to new ‘beginnings’ we feel safe enough to sit there in the emptiness without the need to fill up with substance or unnecessary activity. Instead we wait patiently, and contentedly in God’s time, using it wisely in remembrance and gratitude, knowing ultimately we will be safely carried through into fulfillment.
Let go, sit in silence and be existential!
Meditate!
It is the folly of an adolescent perspective to say we need attention we need to be seen, heard and acknowledged. “Look at me, pay attention to me or I won’t exist,” we are plagued by a false and dreaded fear of annihilation. An illusion that blinds us to reality, that tells us we will disappear and die if we do not receive the attention we want when we want it.
Masters tell us it is not attention we need but to be attentive. To be rid of the constant cycle of birth and death – coming and going you will have to become alert.
Make the effort! – meditate so you may wake yourself up.
